| Senior PastorGlen has been the senior pastor at First Baptist Church in Davis since February 1992. Before coming to Davis, Glen pastored in both Florida and Pennsylvania and he has taught Homiletics and Bible Exposition at Miami Christian College. He is currently part-time adjunct faculty in Old Testament Studies at Western Seminary in Sacramento. He earned his Master of Divinity and his Doctor of Ministry at Western Seminary in Portland, and his Bachelor of Arts at Barry University in Miami.
| Adult & Family Pastor Scott has been a member of the First Baptist Church pastoral staff since 1982, first serving in college ministry, then as FBC’s youth pastor, and more recently as our pastor to adults and families. Scott earned his Master's Degree at Western Seminary in 1990 and his Bachelor of Science at the University of California, Davis. Scott’s favorite pasttimes include swimming with Davis Aquatic Masters (DAM), coaching AYSO soccer, and hanging out with his wife Kim and three daughters.
| Youth Pastor Joe came to UC Davis in 1989 as a freshman and has been attending FBC ever since. He, along with his wife Jenni, also a UC Davis graduate, worked with the youth ministry as full time staff or volunteers from 1991-2001. Now Joe is extremely excited to be heading up FBC's youth ministry to junior high and high school students in the Davis region. Joe's passion is to see students choose their faith for themselves so they will be ready and equipped to move on from high school into the "big world out there." Joe and Jenni also have two children who love to hang out with the "big kids!"
| Worship Pastor Jesse has called a few places home in the last five years, but was born and raised in Oregon. When he is not in the office, you can find Jesse playing sports, enjoying God’s creation and writing music. He obtained a degree in communications from Lee University in Cleveland, TN. Jesse loves to express his passion for following Christ through music. Two scriptures that capture his heart are: Deuteronomy 4:29, Philippians 3:10-13. Jesse believes worship begins with a surrendered heart, flourishes with an obedient heart, and inspires with a passionate heart all for the glory of Christ the Risen Lord.
| Director of Connecting MinistriesMeg has attended FBC since she moved to Davis in 1993. She is married to Rick with three children; Dylan, Alexandra and Nate. For the past several years she has volunteered as the Women's Ministries and Women of the Word Bible Study coordinator. She is very excited about her position in Adult Ministries and for the opportunity to help people grow in their relationship with God and others.
| College and Missions Pastor Before arriving at FBC in March 2008, Dan was a UCD student, a law student, a Christian camp director, an associate pastor in the Silicon Valley, and a full-time seminarian at Fuller. He loves ministering to students in partnership with College Life’s numerous college age and post-college age leaders. He also loves the task of supporting and encouraging FBC's distinguished assortment of missionaries, in partnership with a fantastic missions team. In his free time, Dan loves reading, jogging, having meaningful conversations with college students, listening to baseball on the radio, cheering for the Aggies and the Ducks (he’s a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law), drinking Peet’s coffee, and dissecting movies. Dan is married to the inestimable Allison, and they have two rambunctious sons, Joshua and Andrew.
| Director of Children's Ministries Kristi joined the ministry staff at FBC in 2006 and has attended FBC since 2000. She loves the kids of FBC as well as the three she raises at home with her husband, Sanford. A UCD graduate, she and Sanford also enjoy spending time with current and recently graduated UCD students and consider themselves some of the Aggies' biggest fans. Kristi loves to spend time reading, having students over for dinner, volunteering at her kids' school and drinking the finest coffee available from Peet's.
| College DirectorLaeya graduated from UC Davis in 2007 with a double major in Psychology and Religious Studies. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree at Western Seminary. She is eager to serve the Lord according to the words written in Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” She loves finding occasions to wear fun hats, walking in fields, hiking, prayer, missions in Africa and seeking social justice. She is excited to invest in college students so that they will grow in the knowledge of how holy and amazing the Lord is!
| College InternLissa grew up at FBC. After graduating from Lighthouse (and high school) she attended Cal Poly SLO and received a degree in Business. It was there that she developed a heart for College Ministry through involvement in Campus Crusade. After a one-year stint doing corporate work in Boston, she began a Master’s Degree in Theology at Fuller in Pasadena. Lissa is delighted for the opportunity to do ministry with college students and prays that these students would deepen their relationships with God during their time at UC Davis so that they can become strong ambassadors for Christ wherever God leads them after school. Her prayer is that Philippians 1:9-11 would be true for their lives!
| College InternZach grew up in beautiful Dublin, California. He graduated from UC Davis in 2011 with a double major in Physics and Religious Studies. He currently works as a Physics teacher at Woodland Christian High School. He loves to play outside, watch sports, and encourage those who are in need. He is looking forward to a life of ministry with either High School and College aged students. This year, he endeavors to pursue the young men of College Life in order to empower them into roles of risky service, heartfelt interactions, and faithful devotion to our amazing God.
| Youth InternKevin grew up in Roseville, CA and graduated from Chico State in May of 2011. He received his bachelor’s degree in Nutrition despite his favorite food being doughnuts. He loves traveling with friends, cooking, being outdoors, hanging out with his wife and playing anything that involves competition. He decided to follow the path of full time youth ministry his Junior year of college. Kevin is excited to develop deep relationships with students and assist them in growing their love for God.
